The Role

  • Have an operational knowledge of all food items, dishes, wines and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served.
  • Gets to know regular guests and takes steps to personalise guest visits to build brand loyalty
  • Preparing cocktails both on the menu and famous, with flair, expertise, and confidence to create an atmosphere that is filled with visual excitement
  • Resolves guest queries swiftly, communicating and following up with other colleagues and departments where necessary to ensure any issues are resolved with the guest top of mind whilst promoting the hotel's other facilities and services. Authorises compensatory allowances within agreed function limits
  • Keeps updated with hotel information including functions and VIP’s bookings, liaising with the kitchen for menu content, special customer requests, queries, complaints & compliments
  • Training the team on a wide variety of drinks according to recipe requirements and to adhere to product sensitivities and drinks presentation in line with brand standards
  • Leverages all upselling opportunities by training and leading by example with the team, on all and any menu items, with the knowledge and ability to recommend with confidence, as well as working at pace to adhere to food and drinks service times, to maximise sales potential

What we look for

  • Passionate about delivering the highest levels of service, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge working in high end cocktail bar, cocktail theatre and presentation
  • Ability to work with flair, engagement, and exuberance, being “in tune” and able to build relationships
  • Able to effectively manage a team
